Ash-sham is the area now made up of Syria, Lebanon, Palestine/Israel, and Jordan ... maybe Iraq too, but I'm not going there. This blog is about yours truly's visit there in October/November 2009
Urban sprawl in Damascus has packed development around these two old tombs which once overlooked the city by themselves.
