Ash-sham is the area now made up of Syria, Lebanon, Palestine/Israel, and Jordan ... maybe Iraq too, but I'm not going there. This blog is about yours truly's visit there in October/November 2009
This hotel is a few minutes from my house and has a great courtyard/lobby/greenhouse. Perfect for rainy days like yesterday.
